WikiCombatPvP & the Arena

PvP & the ArenaWhere players can fight players, and where they absolutely can’t.

Skybound’s open world is safe by design; you can never be attacked by another player out in the zones. PvP happens only in two consenting places: the free-for-all Arena ring, and formal guild wars in the Skyfront Ring. No ganking, ever.

◉ Live capture
Inside the ring: a real duel, from the first swing to somebody falling.

The Arena

A dedicated free-for-all venue. Enter by talking to Rok, the Arena Master, in Dawnhaven: it’s closed to Wayfarers, so you need a first job. Confirming entry saves your spot in town, so leaving (via Bram inside) puts you right back where you were.

Safe plaza vs. the lethal ring

The Arena is only lethal inside the sunken octagonal pit at its centre. Both attacker and target must be standing in the octagon for a hit to land. The surrounding Champions’ Font plaza, the Training Row and the entrance are all safe ground; you can stand next to someone there and not trade a scratch.

No death penalty. Nothing you lose in the Arena ring counts; no XP loss, no dropped items. Fight, die, respawn, go again. It’s the place to test builds and duel freely.

Kill credit & the K/D board

The server credits every Arena kill. Your kills and deaths are tallied into a weekly K/D board (resetting each week), which you can view through the Arena Master’s “Arena Ranking” menu; Kills, Deaths, and your K/D ratio. Stats only count while you’re actually in the Arena. A weekly champion’s cosmetic reward for the top killer is on the way.

Practice dummies

The Training Row holds four element-tinted Practice Dummies (Fire, Water, Wind, Earth): stationary, invulnerable targets that never die. Perfect for checking your rotation, attack speed and element damage without risk.
