FlightTake to the skies on a broom or board; the fastest way across the archipelago.
Skybound is a world of floating islands, so flying isn’t a luxury; some places (the far isles of the Shattered Garden, the Rustfall’s Sealed Cell) can only be reached by air. You unlock flight at Level 5 by buying a mount.
How to fly
- Buy a broom or board from Sable, the Flight Instructor in Dawnhaven.
- Double-click the mount in your bag to take off (again to land).
- Tap Space to cruise; steer with the mouse: look up to climb, down to dive.
Starter mounts
| Mount | Type | Req Lv | Speed | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Twig Broom | Broom | 5 | +10% | 350 Glint |
| Plank Board | Board | 5 | +14% | 500 Glint |
| Straw Broom | Broom | 20 | +16% | 1,800 Glint |
| Timber Board | Board | 20 | +22% | 2,400 Glint |
| Gale Broom | Broom | 40 | +22% | 5,400 Glint |
| Skimmer Board | Board | 40 | +30% | 7,200 Glint |
Boards are faster than brooms of the same tier. Faster premium mounts (up to the Seraph’s Ascendance wings, +65% speed) are sold in the Cash Shop.
Where you can’t fly
Only one place is a no-fly zone: the Arena. Everywhere else in the open world, if you own a usable mount, you can take off.
≈
Fast travel too. Don’t forget Blinkwing scrolls from the Magic Merchant: instant teleports to a town (200 Glint to the nearest, up to 2,600 Glint to the Rustfall). And Waystone Keepers move you between zones for free.
⚠
Flight speed is earned, not claimed: you only get the flight speed cap if you actually own a mount whose level requirement you meet. There’s no way to “fake” flight, so the skies stay fair.
