WikiActivitiesCatchers & Collecting

Catchers & CollectingThe quiet corpse hunt: the only source of the stones that power the forge.

Catchers are the game’s upgrade-material hunt. They’re big, harmless creatures that roam every field zone; you spot one, bring it down, then collect its corpse with a special tool to harvest Subsidiary Stones. Those stones are what feed Torren’s Forge, so if you want to upgrade gear, this is the loop.

The four Catchers

Each kind yields its own stone. All four are Level 20 with 3,000 HP; sturdy, but they never fight back. Anyone can hunt them (they’re exempt from the level-gap rule).

Mineral feeds gear upgrades; all four are used for weapon-element upgrades (in pairs). See which stones each element needs on the Enhancement page.

How the hunt works

Catchers are for hero classes only. Until you finish your 1st Job Change at Lv 15 you cannot damage a Catcher or collect from one: not even a corpse someone else felled. Buy the Collector after you have your job, not before.
  • Buy the Ultra Collector

A one-time purchase from the Premium Shop, under Tools, for 500 Crown. It’s a permanent tool that equips in your weapon slot and is never consumed by collecting.

  • Find a Catcher

They spawn on an ambient timer and wander; no announcement, no marker. Spotting one is the hunt. Each field zone has at most two live at a time.

  • Down it

Kill it like any monster (it won’t retaliate). Killing yields a clickable corpse, not loot directly.

  • Wield the Collector & channel

Equip the Ultra Collector, while it’s held you can’t fight, and your hero visibly carries it. Walk within 7 tiles of the corpse, click it, and channel for ~10 seconds. Your hero auto-faces the corpse and plays the harvest animation.

  • Collect ~100 stones

On completion the corpse yields about 100 Subsidiary Stones of that Catcher’s kind, straight to your bag.

  • The channel is fragile: moving, taking any damage, dying, stowing the collector, or stepping out of range cancels it. Clear the area first, then commit to the full 10 seconds standing still.

Who gets the corpse: claim rules

Catchers are contested, so there are fair-play rules on the corpse:

The loop: spot & down a Catcher → swap to the Ultra Collector → channel the corpse → carry ~100 stones to Torren → refine gear. No Catchers spawn inside the Sunforge, so do your collecting out in the field zones.
